Bolonia Beach

Bolonia Beach is an almost wild beach located about 15 minutes by car from Tarifa. It is the continuation to the south of Zahara de los Atunes and Atlanterra but they are not connected as they are separated by cliffs. Specifically, it is limited to the west by Punta Camarinal and its Arroyo Cañuelo beach, and to the east by Punta Paloma; in the interior it is bordered by the Sierra de La Plata, the Sierra de la Higuera and the San Bartolomé hill. That it is such a virgin beach is not by chance, since it can only be accessed by the N-340 and the road is narrow and winding.

Bolonia is more than a beach, it is a natural environment with places full of almost virgin nature, fine white sand, crystal clear waters and a dune space.

The Bolonia dune is a sand dune more than 30 meters high located northwest of the Bolonia inlet, towards Punta Camarinal, on the Atlantic coast of the province of Cádiz. It was declared a natural monument in 2001

Those who visit it understand that it is a unique natural environment that must be respected. The beach is about 4 kilometers long and about 70 meters wide.

The beach, located between the capes of Plata and Gracia, has an extension of 1,500 meters and an average width of 50 meters and fine sand. It is not a crowded beach during the summer, partly because it is far from the main population centers and, above all, due to the greater popularity of the neighboring Atlanterra beach.
